Hi Lorene and Justin
One of your goals..”…providing hope to people who think that change is a hopeless goal” caught my attention. I have found stories from HFL in general encouraging. I have for years been exposed to the needs which seem desperate & overwhelming. Bringing actions to the level of individuals rather than just organizations, both those individuals making a difference by giving help and those individuals whose lives are changed by receiving help does provide hope. I see not only the need but the need being met. We can make a difference.
A while ago I came across this quote which at the time struck me. My reaction was “that’s what HFL is doing”. I don’t know the author Ray Williams. He was probably speaking of something quite different. But simply taking the words’ face value out of context, that was my reaction to: “To be truly radical is to make hope possible, rather than despair convincing”
Continue to do that with your stories. I have been touched and encouraged already.

That is awesome! It just captures what you were trying to do with Pockets for Change. It definitely encourages my heart to action. Those people who said that it changes you and your vision of the world and how you live are right… but you don’t get that kind of transformation unless “you are willing to get your feet dirty!” Thanks for writing guys… looking so forward to the book!–Amber
