It’s here! The day has finally arrived. Our blog is up and running, as are we. Sunday after church Justin and I left Chilliwack to begin our journey with Pockets of Change. We were blessed with perfect road conditions the whole way to Prince George, where we stayed the night with my aunt and uncle. Monday morning we discovered the same road conditions as we made our way to Terrace.
We plan to spend the week here, doing some support team building in Terrace with old friends, and doing interviews with team members from Kitimat’s Mountain View Alliance group.
I have been overwhelmed already by God’s provision for us. The family of God has stepped up to help us in so many ways, it just fills my heart with gratitude. A Christian family opened up their barn for us to store all our belongings so we would be able to save money. A Christian travel doctor took care of all our medical needs for a very discounted price. A Christian man in our church offered to take care of our cat Noah for the entire time we are on our travels. A Christian couple we know in Chilliwack housed and fed us for the week after we moved out of our home. Now we are in Terrace living with a family we don’t even know, but they have opened up their empty basement suite for us and made it feel like a home complete with a bed, food in the fridge and open arms.
I am so glad I’m a part of the family of God.
Give thanks to the Lord, call on His name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. - Psalm 105:1-2
